Construction output dipped again in August, falling to its lowest level since February, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Activity was down 0.2 per cent in the month compared with July, but fell by as much as 2.3 per cent in comparison since the peak seen in April. Monthly output has steadily declined since then, bar a minor jump in June.
On the less volatile three-month-on-three-month comparison, output fell by 1.2 per cent in July and August compared with April to June.
